FAQ

What is the Difference between Nespresso Original and Professional?

They are for two completely different systems –

Nespresso® Original pods

  • Designed for home-use machines like those made by Nespresso, Breville, or De’Longhi.
  • Smaller aluminum or plastic capsules, each with about 5–6g of coffee.
  • Ideal for single espresso or lungo shots

Nespresso® Professional pods

  • Made for commercial or office-use machines such as Nespresso Gemini, Zenius, or Aguila.
  • Larger capsules, each containing around 8–9g of coffee.
  • Brew slightly longer, stronger cups to suit busy office settings

Important:

  • The two types are NOT interchangeable.

• • Original pods won’t fit Professional machines, and Professional pods won’t fit Original machines

How can I tell what pods fit my machine?

Check the model name or label on your coffee machine — it will usually say if it’s a Nespresso® Original, Lavazza, Rivo, or another system.

You can also look at the shape of the pods it uses:

  • Nespresso® Original: Small dome-shaped aluminum capsules (espresso shots)
  • Lavazza: Typically plastic capsules with a rounded or slightly tapered shape (varies by system like Lavazza Blue or Expert)
  • Rivo: Larger, flat-bottomed capsules designed for the Keurig Rivo espresso system

If you’re unsure, search your machine’s model online or contact us at support@veroespresso.com and we’ll be happy to confirm what pod type you need.

What do the coffee flavor profiles mean?

Our flavor profiles help you quickly understand the overall taste and feel of each coffee before you buy. Every blend has its own personality, and these categories make it easier to find your favorite.

Here’s what each profile refers to:

  • Intensity – How strong the coffee tastes overall. Higher intensity means a bolder, more powerful flavor.
  • Roast Level – How dark the beans are roasted. Light roasts are bright and delicate, while dark roasts are rich, toasty, and full-bodied.
  • Body – The weight or texture of the coffee in your mouth. A light body feels clean and smooth, while a full body feels creamy and rich.
  • Aroma & Notes – The subtle flavors you might taste (like chocolate, caramel, nuts, fruit, or spice). These give each blend its unique character.

Quick Tip:
If you like smooth, easy-drinking coffee, go for lower intensity and lighter body. If you want a strong, café-style punch, look for higher intensity and darker roasts.

What if I order the wrong pods?

No stress – it happens to the best of us!
If you ordered the wrong type of pods, just reach out to us at support@veroespresso.com and we’ll be happy to help you swap them for the right ones. We want to make sure you get the perfect fit for your machine (and your espresso).

Where does your coffee come from?

Our coffee is sourced from renowned coffee-growing regions around the world, including Brazil, Colombia, and Ethiopia—three of the top producers celebrated for their distinctive flavor profiles and exceptional quality.

Each blend is then roasted to perfection in Italy, where master roasters bring out the beans’ full character, before being imported to our Houston facility for distribution throughout the United States.

How long does shipping take?

We ship most orders the same day they’re placed, and the average transit time is 3–5 business days.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking code so you can follow your shipment’s journey — and we’ll send you updates at every step until it arrives at your door.

Do your pods work in Keurig or Nespresso® Vertuo machines?

No — our pods are not compatible with Keurig K-Cup or Nespresso® Vertuo systems.

Keurig K-Cup pods are designed for brewing full cups of drip-style coffee, not espresso.
Nespresso® Vertuo pods use a different patented design and barcode system that is not compatible with our pods and remain under patent protection until 2028.

Please double-check what machine you have and what specific pod type it uses before ordering.
